This two-level design is quite striking. With it’s native stonework, Caribbean styled architecture and soft colors, you will be pleased from the moment you first arrive. The main level of the villa has an open floor plan, with the kitchen, living and dining areas under one roof and adjoining each other. The French doors from the living room open to the upper level screened in porch, which creates a delightful indoor/outdoor atmosphere that is especially enjoyable in the evening. The dining table is located in a prime spot on the screened in porch, and you will always be dining with this truly magnificent view stretched out below you. One air-conditioned bedroom (queen) and en-suite bathroom is located off the living room. The lower level is accessed by both interior and exterior stairs and contains a king and a queen bedroom, each with a/c and private en-suite baths. Each of the lower bedrooms opens to a second screened in porch with areas to sit and relax – a perfect spot for your morning cup of coffee.
The pool and hot tub are located on the lower level and can be accessed from the screened in porch on the lower level or by an exterior staircase from the upper level. There are plenty of lounge chairs where you can soak up the warm, Caribbean sunshine or if you feel like some exercise you can hop in your oversized pool and swim a few laps. Close by the pool is your private hot tub, which is a perfect place to relax in the evening and gaze at the twinkling lights from neighboring islands and distant stars.

e knew this was going to be a fantastic getaway from the moment we were greeted at the ferry by a representative from the Bordeaux Mountain home. Our escort to the property was friendly and provided us with all the information we needed to enjoy all the offerings of the home as well as the island of St John. The attention to detail in this newly built home made us feel comfortable no matter which room we sat in. The amenities were modern and the stonework was stunning. The sensation of the Caribbean breeze coupled with the vista of Coral Bay was nothing short of spectacular! Accessibility to beaches and restaurants allowed this location to be a wonderful spot to start and finish our day of excursions. Rest and relaxation is what we needed and exactly what we got from this Bordeaux Mountain home. Looking forward to future stays in this island paradise.
My wife and I brought our daughter (born last October) to St. John for our first family vacation. I can't imagine a better house for us. The bedrooms are air conditioned so we didn't have to worry about the little one getting too hot at night. The pool is huge and was great to have because the beaches were choppy with the recent hurricane (Sandy). Our daughter loved splashing in it - in the tube we brought. The porch ... wow, what a view! I didn't even mind getting out of bed early in the morning for bottle duty with a view like that, especially when drinking a coffee easily made in the Keurig. There were beach towels / coolers / chairs. There was even tupperware for taking snacks to the beach. I think the hosts thought of it all. There were also two baby gates there when we arrived - great for the little one! I hope to come back to Almost Heaven someday and I'd recommend it to anyone. I've stayed in a few villa's in St John, and they've all been great, but the view over coral bay and attention to the amenities sets this one apart. If I come back to St. John, I'll be staying here.
Almost Heaven was almost heaven! We had a wonderful honeymoon! The weather was great, the people were extremely friendly, and the beaches were incredible. Our greeter could not have been any more helpful! Everything about the trip was wonderful, and will be sure to contact you for our next Caribbean vacation!!
