Be sure to pack a camera: the villa looks majestically down a tropical valley (hence its name) to the turquoise Grand Fond bay beyond. As well as Grand Fond’s beach, there are shops within a few minutes’ drive – but you’ll struggle to believe it, such is the air of privacy. The best views are from a long, ocean-facing infinity pool or its spacious teak-and-tile deck, which extends along Valley’s length. A nice lawn dotted flanks one side of the pool, while numerous palm trees offer shade and elevated sun loungers allow guests to capitalise on St Barts’ constant rays.
A covered dining area adjoins the pool to enable al fresco group meals. Another dinner table awaits inside, or meals can be devoured informally on a breakfast bar separating the modern kitchen and a small living room where popcorn-laden movie nights can be held. Bright white walls and high, pitched ceilings offer a soothing contrast to all the lush greenery outside.
At either end of the villa, both air-conditioned bedrooms lead onto terraces – one beside the pool, one more private – so that there’s ample space for everyone. Each also boasts a king-size bed, sea views, a TV and a luxurious bathroom. See more details
